Wesley Future Genius Hub 2026: Rethink Plastic, Recreate the Future

On 13 June 2026, Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur (International) welcomed young innovators for Wesley Future Genius Hub 2026, a programme designed to inspire environmental awareness through creativity, innovation, and sustainable thinking.

Centred on the theme “Rethink Plastic, Recreate the Future,” participants were challenged to transform plastic waste into creative and practical solutions. Working collaboratively in teams, students brainstormed ideas, designed prototypes, and brought their concepts to life using recyclable materials, demonstrating impressive creativity, problem-solving skills, and teamwork throughout the process.

We were honoured to be joined by our distinguished Guests of Honour, Encik Fairul Fariz bin Suha, the Ketua Penolong Pengarah Unit Pendidikan Swasta from the Jabatan Pendidikan Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur and Mr Wong Chee Kheon, former Principal of Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur (International), whose presence added encouragement and significance to the event.

The highlight of the programme was the presentation session, where students confidently shared their creations and explained the purpose, functionality, and sustainability behind their projects. From innovative everyday solutions to imaginative upcycled creations, participants showcased how environmental challenges can inspire meaningful ideas and positive change.
More than a competition, Wesley Future Genius Hub 2026 provided students with a platform to develop critical thinking, collaboration, and sustainable innovation while encouraging them to become responsible stewards of the environment.
