Crossroads Event : WMSKLP – MCKL
On 28th September 2024, Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur (Private) organized the Crossroads event in collaboration with Methodist College of Kuala Lumpur (MCKL). The event, held at MCKL, catered to parents and students of Form 3 and Form 4, providing vital information to help students navigate their next academic steps in the 2025/2026 school year.
The primary objectives of the event were to offer students comprehensive insights into the various educational pathways available to them before they make important subject selections for Form 4 and post-SPM. In addition, students received guidance on subject combinations necessary for specific career trajectories.
The event began with a warm welcome from the CEO of MCKL, who delivered a detailed and structured speech that was both informative and inspiring for students and parents alike. His insights helped frame the event, giving attendees a clear understanding of the critical decisions that lay ahead. In addition to this, the key highlights of the event included:
•A presentation on Education Pathways and Scholarship Opportunities by MCKL.
•Academic counselling, a campus tour, and career test discussions for both Form 3 and Form 4 students.
•Academic package selection for Form 3 students.
MCKL representatives, including the Head of Programme, Academic Director, and other academic staff, shared their expertise with attendees. Parents also had the opportunity to engage with both MCKL staff and WMSKLP teachers and counsellors to discuss the most suitable subjects and academic packages for their children, as well as future plans for their children.
The event concluded with students and parents feeling more empowered and confident in the academic choices and career paths that lie before them.
