Monday, 5th February 2024

This report summarizes the findings and conclusions of the Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) conducted at Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur (Private). The investigation aimed to gather evidence, analyze the scene, and draw conclusions to aid in the resolution of the case.

Crime scene investigation (CSI) activity have provided students with engaging opportunities to explore scientific principles, develop critical thinking skills, and collaborate in solving mysteries. This activity simulate real-life scenarios, allowing students to assume the role of forensic scientists or detectives as they collect and analyze evidence to crack the case. CSI activity typically involved creating simulated crime scenes within the classroom. Classrooms 1 Daniel, 1 Exodus , 3 Peter and C1 was used for this activity.

The scenarios ranged from simple thefts to more complex crimes like homicides to suicides. Students worked in teams to examine the scene, document evidence, and conducted experiments using scientific techniques such as fingerprint analysis. Students were fully immersed in the investigative process through the hands-on aspect of CSI activity, which enhanced classroom learning and fostered experiential learning. Through hands-on experience gathering and evaluating evidence, students gained proficiency in observation, reasoning, and data interpretation. Furthermore, as students assess the data, take into account competing theories, and make reasoned
judgments, they were encouraged to use critical thinking skills when they come across unforeseen difficulties or contradictions.

As the students collaborate to solve the case, CSI activity further encourage cooperation and teamwork. They discovered how to successfully communicate, exchange ideas, and play to one other’s strengths in order to accomplish shared objectives.

In conclusion, through CSI activity, students not only develop a deeper understanding of scientific concepts but also cultivate the skills and mindset needed to thrive in an ever-changing world
