Above and beyond sports, we are focused on inculcating and nurturing a sense of unity, community and house spirit. Beginning this year, Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur, is setting up a house system that encourages healthy competition and is infused throughout the activities organized throughout the whole school that champions a holistic educational experience.

Each student is assigned to a specific house which will become their family, for the duration of their Wesleyan school life. For each house, achievements in competitions run throughout the year which will culminate in a race for the title of Champion Cup announced at the end of the year.

Our houses are represented by unique and meaningful animals from the bible, namely – the Lion, the Eagle, the Stag and the Bear.

Blue Lion is a Leader and represents the beacon of light, courage, bravery, agility, and dignity. This majestic beast symbolizes the boldness and strength of God’s character – the Christ-lion, the Lion of Judah.

Red Eagle is a Trailblazer and represents freedom, strength, and power. This magnificent bird of prey is considered powerful and unstoppable, and a perfect demonstration of God’s sovereign control over everything.

Yellow Bear is a Guardian and represents strength, courage and protection, nobility, patience, and playfulness. In the bible,* these impressive beasts are described as loyal and powerful, protective of their own.

Green Stag is a Tenacious Protector and represents agility, graceful beauty, stamina, and instinct. This statuesque creature appears as a symbol of virtue, devotion, and is used to symbolise God’s care for His children.
