Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur (International) celebrated its prestigious Honours Day for 2024, a day dedicated to recognizing the outstanding achievements of its students both in academics and personal development. This significant occasion was graced by the presence of the School’s Board of Management Chairman and Vice Chairman, who both expressed their pride in the students’ accomplishments.

The event highlighted various achievements, including the Duke of Edinburgh Award, which acknowledged students’ dedication to personal growth, service, and physical fitness. The academic brilliance of the students was celebrated with the Meritorious Academic Award, recognizing students who have consistently performed at an exceptional level.

Special recognition was given to students who achieved distinctions in all subjects in the IGCSE exams, and those who secured straight highest distinction, showcasing their determination and perseverance in their studies.

The highest accolades of the day, including the Scholars of the Year and the Top IGCSE Performers awards, were a testament to the hard work and dedication these students displayed throughout the academic year. Beyond academics, the school values character formation, and students who exemplified the spirit of service and leadership were honoured with the Exemplary Christian Service Award and the highly coveted Wesleyan of the Year award.

In his speech, the Chairman emphasized that at Wesley Methodist School, excellence is defined not only by academic success but also by the growth of students’ heart, mind, and spirit. He praised the students for their perseverance and commitment to embodying the school’s values of integrity, respect, and compassion, reminding them that these traits would carry them far in life, alongside the knowledge they have gained.
